The Intensive Care Units at Mahavir Heart Institute consist of 27 ICU Beds on the first floor. It has 9 SICU, 9 MICU & 9 recovery beds. It also has a high dependency unit consisting of 3 beds on the fifth floor. Patients are admitted to the intensive care unit for close observation, monitoring and timely action to save their lives. The staff in the unit is competent and trained in the knowledge of medicine and the use of the latest life saving technology in view of the critical nature of the patients admitted to this department.
Objectives are:

  • To provide intensive patient monitoring.
  • To provide centralized life support to critically ill patients.
